Broadalbin (town), New York : ウィキペディア英語版
Broadalbin, New York

Broadalbin is a town in Fulton County, New York, USA. The population was 5,250 at the 2010 census. The town was named after the Breadalbane Region in Scotland by an early settler.
The Town of Broadalbin contains a village also called Broadalbin. The town is on the eastern border of the county and is northwest of Albany.
== History ==
The town was part of the Sacandaga Patent of 1741. The town was part of a former town called "Caughnawaga" in northern Montgomery County. The town was first settled around 1770 near the present Broadalbin village.
Castle Cumberland was a short-lived fortification in the town during the American Revolution.
Broadalbin was created from the Towns of Johnstown and Mayfield in 1793, before Fulton County was formed. In 1799, part of Broadalbin was used to form the Town of Northampton. Broadalbin lost the south part of the town in 1842 to form the Town of Perth.
When the Great Sacandaga Lake was created in 1930, some of the town's land was covered with water, including the Sacondaga Vlaie, a broad expanse of marshy land.
